NURS 475: Consolidated Practice Experience V is designed to provide opportunities for participants to integrate learning from previous semesters, and to advance their professional nursing practice and assume the role of a BSN graduate. In a variety of settings, students have opportunities to consolidate learning and advance their decision-making for nursing practice skills.
Prerequisites: Promotion to study Semester 8 of the Nursing program.
Corequisite: NURS 491

Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- critically reflect on professional nursing practice, of both self and others in practice;
- utilize nursing theories and EBP to develop and implement a plan of care for clients;
- examine the health care system in the context of nursing practice and community based change to develop a plan for their transition to practice;
- evaluate personal growth and learning needs in the application of nursing knowledge to practice;
- utilize teaching and learning strategies to build effective knowledge translation and knowledge consolidation;
- build professional relationships to support best practice, demonstrate strong team skills and support members of the healthcare team to provide safe consistent care; and
- engage in interprofessional practice with a variety of disciplines.
