PSYC 241 Adult Development is an introduction to teenage and adult development. This course explores selected aspects of the physical, cognitive, emotional, and moral development from adolescence thru late adulthood.
Prerequisites: PSYC 100 or equivalent

Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- describe, the important theories of adolescent and adult development.
- explain the possible causes or sources of developmental change or disturbance in adolescents and adults.
- utilize critical thinking to assess the scientific value of information and analyze developmental controversies.
- understand the ways in which social, political, and cultural trends affect the individual.
- describe and understand issues related to drug use, identity, sexuality, career choice and success, relationships, parenting and retirement.
