ENGL 66/67 Essential English

English 66/67: Essential English develops practical skills in reading, writing and communicating.� These skills will enable students to perform the tasks required by their occupation and other aspects of daily life. Upon completion of this course, students are prepared for entry to Selkirk College�s Health Care Assistant program. This course qualifies for the BC Adult Graduation Diploma, but it is not recommended for entry into most academic post-secondary education programs.��

Prerequisites: English 10 or equivalent skills.

Additional Assessment Notes: Letter grades of C- to A+, P (pass), and F (fail) will be used. "I" (incomplete) may be given to the student who is unable to complete course assignments by the end of the semester because of illness or another valid reason, but only after consultation with the instructor. A "W" (withdraw) can be obtained by withdrawing from the course before the College deadline for withdrawals.
