Government Assistance Programs

There is help with the cost of post-secondary education through student loans, grants and other government assistance programs.

• What is a student loan? This is money you have to pay back. It can help pay for tuition, books supplies and living expenses.
• What is a grant? This is money you don't have to pay back. It can help pay for tuition, books supplies and living expenses.

Youth in Care Financial Assistance

Current and former youth in care who have aged out of the foster care system and are entering into post-secondary may be eligible for tuition waivers, other financial supports, along with individualized and peer support at Selkirk College.
