FSWF 23 Food Handling II builds upon the skills developed in FSWF 20.  The course will focus on the aspects of food handling and preparation skills.  The course topics are food ingredient rationales, food storage, and how to follow a recipe properly.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

  2. follow a recipe properly.
  3. demonstrate an understanding for food storage guidelines and rules.
  4. formulate short-term and long-term goals for the work day and/or week.
  5. exhibit effective time management in context of teamwork flow.
  6. understand the roles and responsibilities of task at hand.
  7. demonstrate a mastery of skills set in area of food preparation.
  8. demonstrate an understanding of work habits and industry standards in work setting.
  9. gain more confidence and self-esteem building skills to improve employability.

Grade Description
AAV ABOVE AVERAGE -The student has mastered all or most course objectives/requirements in a minimum time frame and has exemplified good work and study habits.
COM COMPLETE – denotes that the student has mastered a satisfactory number of course objectives/requirements in a non-credit course
CRG CREDIT GRANTED - denotes that the student performance was satisfactory in a credit course.
NCG NO CREDIT GRANTED - denotes that the student performance was unsatisfactory.
PCG PARTIAL CREDIT GRANTED – denotes that the student has successfully completed a portion of the course objectives in a credit course.
