PGFS 201 Web Application Frameworks and Technologies introduces the libraries, tools, and conventions that provide the foundation for developing web applications. Students will design, develop, test, and deploy web applications using a wide range of popular server-side and client-side frameworks.

Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Describe the benefits of using web application frameworks
- Analyze project requirements and select an appropriate web application framework based on its scope and function
- Demonstrate an understanding of web application fundamentals such as routing, templating, and middleware
- Implement design patterns, such as MVC or REST, in a web application using a chosen framework
- Deploy a web application to a production server, demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot and resolve any deployment issues that arise
- Develop a fully functional web application using a chosen framework that meets the specified requirements
