ENGL 66 Essential English

School of Academic Upgrading and Development

ENGL 66:Essential English -Provincial Level is for students to upgrade their English skills. Students will develop practical skills in reading, writing and communicating. These skills will enable students to perform the tasks required by their occupation and other aspects of daily life.

 

This course qualifies for the BC Adult Graduation Diploma.

 

English66 is equivalent to Communications12.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

  8. Apply the writing process to produce a variety of technical and professional writings for specific audiences or purpose
  9. gather and evaluate information, print sources, library resources and the internet by using a variety of strategies and sources
  10. Self-assess one’s own written work for accuracy, cohesion, unity and support
