ADMN 166: Computers In Business is a study of basic concepts in computer hardware and software and their application in a business context. Hardware components are analyzed in terms of function, purpose, and schematic operation. Operating Systems and selected business application software are studied in terms of conceptual approaches, concepts of data processing, systems concepts and methodologies.

Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Knowledge:
1. A working comprehension of Microsoft Windows 98. This includes a solid understanding of the graphical user interface and using the windows explorer to organize files and folders.
2. An expert knowledge of using documents in Microsoft Word 2000.
3. An expert knowledge of using and using spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel 2000.
4. A strong understanding of a range of basic PC hardware and software concepts.
