Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- recognize various fundamental HRM principles and functions; Fundamental Canadian HRM functions and principles include, but are not limited to: job analysis, HR planning, recruitment, selection, orientation and training, career development, compensation and benefits, performance appraisal, health and safety, and labour relations.
- gather and critically assess research materials, utilizing primary and secondary sources in order to provide necessary background information upon which achieving objectives depends.
- integrate strategies, theories and practices that reflect an awareness of the changing economic and political environments that impact organizational dynamics with specific reference to key human resource functions.
- demonstrate the practical use of fundamental HR strategies, theories, and principles within an organizational context.
