EACSW 196 Practicum II is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their abilities in field settings. It provides students with opportunities to learn experientially and to apply concepts from the classroom.
Practicum offers students opportunities to self-evaluate and receive feedback about their knowledge, skills, abilities and attitudes in the field of Education Assistant and Community Support Worker.
Prerequisites: Completion of all EACSW course work. Completion of EACSW with a minimum of 60%.

Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- demonstrate an ability to correctly apply the skills and philosophy taught in the Education Assistant and Community Support Worker program when working with people who have disabilities and their support teams.
- demonstrate an ability to apply knowledge gained through the EACSW program courses to develop appropriate program adaptations for specific individuals with disabilities.
- demonstrate an ability to effectively use interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with others.
- demonstrate an ability to function as a contributing member of an interdisciplinary team.
- demonstrate empathy and warmth towards individuals and sincere concern for the individuals' welfare.
- demonstrate the ability to adapt his/her approaches in response to feedback from supervisory personnel.
