ENTB 20: My Business Development - Skill Building I offers students the opportunity to explore a specific area of business and learn skills beyond a more basic level, as their abilities allow them to at this time. The intention is that once students have gathered an overall appreciation of business, they can now begin to explore the business model and skills associated with that field. The focus of this course is to develop a mastery of skills and to ensure quality production.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

  1. formulate short and long term goals for course completion;
  2. design and create framework and products for business development;
  3. evaluate personal skills, abilities, work skills, habits, performance and compatibility;
  4. use effective workplace communication;
  5. demonstrate appropriate and safe workplace etiquette to complete task;
  6. follow task completion rules and safe procedures;
  7. define and use terminology related to business plan;
  8. gain confidence and self-esteem as one moves towards mastery of skill set in area of focus;
  9. identify and use appropriate tools to complete task at hand; and
  10. safely use tools to complete task.

Grade Description
AAV ABOVE AVERAGE -The student has mastered all or most course objectives/requirements in a minimum time frame and has exemplified good work and study habits.
COM COMPLETE – denotes that the student has mastered a satisfactory number of course objectives/requirements in a non-credit course
CRG CREDIT GRANTED - denotes that the student performance was satisfactory in a credit course.
NCG NO CREDIT GRANTED - denotes that the student performance was unsatisfactory.
PCG PARTIAL CREDIT GRANTED – denotes that the student has successfully completed a portion of the course objectives in a credit course.
