RHOT 175: Hospitality Computer Applications - students will explore the data base and information needs of lodging properties and food service establishments. Through hands-on experience, students are given the opportunity to learn a food and beverage point of sale system (Micros POS), a property management database system (Opera) and a convention/meeting graphic drawing system (Meeting Matrix).

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- make use of the Micros POS from both a line employee and manger operations;
- construct effective and logical meeting/event diagrams using Meeting Matrix;
- construct accurate rooms using Meeting Matrix; and
- make use of the Micros Opera PMS software to accurately create and manage guest and group information, accounts, special requests and reservations.
