Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Apply key concepts and principles of database fundamentals, including data models, normalization, and indexing to practical situations
- Perform basic and advanced database operations, including creating, retrieving, updating, and deleting data from a database
- Recognize and apply data integrity and security principles in database design, including user access management, password policies, and encryption
- Understand the basics of database administration, including backup and recovery, user management, and maintenance, and will be able to perform basic administrative tasks on a database
- Apply database design principles to real-world scenarios and solve problems related to data management, by designing and implementing a functional database for a specific business
