SPAN 113: First-Year Spanish II is the sequel to SPAN 112. In SPAN 113 emphasis is placed on further improvement of the students communicative proficiency through listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students will continue to reflect on and discuss thoughts and beliefs expressed by Spanish writers, and their relation without culture today.
Prerequisites: A �C� or better in SPAN 112 or equivalent. Note: This pre-requisite may be waived with the permission of the Instructor.

Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- understand an intermediate level of Spanish;
- ask and respond to questions, and participate in short conversations on a variety of topics;
- express oneself orally and in writing in the present, past, and future tenses;
- use pronouns effectively;
- read and comprehend texts of medium complexity; and
- refer accurately to geographical and cultural features of the Spanish-speaking world.
