DA 110 Introduction to Adobe Photoshop focuses on colour correction techniques, image editing, working with layers, filters and effects, and becoming proficient with different selection tools. This course prepares learners for more advanced projects in DA 112 and DA 113.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- explain screen image resolution and the difference between raster/bitmap images and vector illustration;
- create, use, move and modify selections and objects inside Photoshop;
- edit photographs;
- create an organized layers palette;
- use blend modes, corrective filters and effects;
- create and edit vector shapes and fill and paint images;
- create custom artwork; and
- demonstrate a professional workflow.
