BKMA 123 Fabrication Techniques: Welded Forms will teach students the safe use of the MIG welder, oxygen and? acetylene gasses, and the plasma cutter. Students will learn basic welding skills and forms.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Demonstrate proficient use of welding equipment and plasma cutter
- Create sculptural forms using supplemental tooling
- Prepare metal for welding with oxygen acetylene and MIG welders
- Perform basic welding skills such as welding beads, seams, plugs and angles
- Demonstrate ability to cut designs and shapes from steel and inflate them
- Perform basic forging skills
- Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with studio specific health and safety policies
