DFAB 203 Additive Manufacturing 2. In this course students will be introduced to a variety of techniques, processes and machines for additive manufacturing in high temperature engineering materials and metal 3D printing.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

  1. describe the various methods and applications of additive manufacturing.
  2. process 3D models for multi part additive manufactured assemblies.
  3. troubleshoot potential problems in the design phase through iteration.
  4. describe the basic principles of solid mechanics as it pertains to digital fabrication.
  5. produce a metal 3D printed part.
