IPHE402 Physiological Function in the Aged

IPHE 402 Physiological Function in the Aged focuses on an in-depth exploration of the normal physiological changes that occur as a result of aging and the cumulative effects of external and internal variables that increase the risk for negative functional consequences in this population. From there, students will explore the most relevant resources and approaches to care to promote health, well-being, and longevity from a specific healthcare discipline lens. This course uses Carol Miller’s Model for Promoting Wellness in Older Adults (aka “Miller’s Model”), in the development of care plans for older adults.
