SSW163 Field Work I

SSW 163 is a competency-based field placement in an agency that provides social services.  Field Work I provides an overview of the role of social service worker and explores the application of ethical standards and standards of practice.  Students will have an opportunity to practice knowledge and skills learned in prior courses, work on their professional development, and apply effective communication in the context of professional relationships.  Students will gain an understanding of inclusive practice and examine cultural competency.
