TEXT 135 Dye Technology II is an introductory study of the principles and application of colour and imagery on fibre utilizing block printing and silkscreen printing with dyes, pigments, and colour removers (dishcharge).

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- safely handle dyes, chemicals, and equipment.
- create colour samples in various ratios to establish repeatable tertiary, complementary, and monochromatic colour blends with acid dyes and procion MX dyes.
- utilize block printing and silk screening techniques with different dyes and chemicals.
- create simple designs to develop patterns and repeat imagery.
- apply dyes and pigments on a variety of substrates
