In TEXT 132 Printing on Cloth, students will learn various processes and approaches to silk-screen printing and explore the potential of printed imagery, repeating-pattern and other effects on cloth with a primary focus on printing using photo emulsion.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- safely handle dyes, chemicals and equipment.
- apply dyes and set them correctly to achieve the stability of colour on the fabric.
- create images and designs for registered repeats.
- design patterns and motifs for yardages with a variety of contexts, like garments, interiors, and soft furnishings.
- prepare a silkscreen and images for printing with photo emulsion.
- identify a variety of fibres for the preparation of dyeing, printing and discharge techniques.
