Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- complete a number of samples and projects which will demonstrate basic cold forming metal skills such as: safe repetitive use of silversmithing hammers, making and using customized wooden stakes, synclastic and anticlastic forming;
- develop their existing basic jewellery skills such as sawing, filing, soldering, and polishing; and
- understand and demonstrate good studio health and safety practices; in particular, how to set up and use a hammering station to avoid repetitive strain injuries.
