NURS 129: Nursing Practice II: Coming to Know the Client provides opportunities to develop caring relationships with groups, families and individuals across the lifespan. Emphasis will be placed on health assessment and coming to know how clients understand and promote their health, and the role of the nurse in partnering with the client in this process. Participants work with groups, families and individuals in the home and community, in agencies, and in care facilities to incorporate concepts and learning from all the courses in this semester into their nursing practice.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Semester 1 Travel Required

Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- develop caring relationships with individuals and families;

- foster the integration of nursing knowledge, skills, and abilities;
- display critical thinking skills through the integration of nursing theories, skillful reasoning, and self-evaluation;

- develop professional relationships with other health care professionals and early childhood educators; and
- Identify the role of inter-professionals within their practice setting.
Additional Assessment Notes: This course will be graded Credit/No Credit. To receive �Credit� for Nursing 129, the student must demonstrate progress in all Domains of the Practice Appraisal Form (PAF) and satisfactory completion of all nursing practice assignments
